What is the full form of Email?

Email's full form is Electronic Mail. Here "E" stands for "Electronic" and mail is taken as it is. 

Email Definition 

Email (Electronic Mail) is a way of communication by which people can convey messages (mail) with each other through electronic gadgets (PCs, laptops, tablets or mobile phones). 

It has become a widely used means of conveying mails. It is used in daily life in different sectors such as business, education, government, entertainment, industry, etc.

Email works primarily over the Internet. 

Internet connection is essential for both sides when they want to send and receive messages. However, the clients and their electronic gadgets do not have to be online at the same time.

Format of an Email

Format of an Email refers to the way in which an email is written. It mainly contains two parts. First one is known as "Header" and the second one is known as "Body".

Message Header

The header is synchronized in fields. The various fields of "Message Header" are To, Cc,  Bcc, Subject.

To: 

The email addresses and names of the recipients to whom an email is to be sent. "To" field further contains two options which are mentioned below:

Cc: 

Cc's progressed name is Carbon copy. Using this option a person sends an email to many persons at same time. 

All the receipents whose addresses are in Cc field are able to see to whom you have send this email.

Bcc: 

Bcc's full form is Blind Carbon Copy, also represented as hidden copy. 

In this field the receipents of the "To' or "Cc" fields will not be able to see the individual who is receiving an email whose address is written in this "Bcc" field.

Subject line: 

One single line regarding the motive(purpose) for which mail has been sent.

Email Message 

Before start typing your message, have a greeting.

Then start typing your message to be communicated.

The message body contains the message as an unstructured message, part of the time with a print block towards the end. 

The header is bounded by a reasonable line from the body.

A message to be send can be written in plain or HTML. 

HTML email messages are usually attached to a simple custom message copy for comparison. 

The benefits of HTML combine the memorability of line assignments and images, the omission of previous messages in block declarations, the regular adjustment of each program, the use of plugins such as underlining and italics, and the changing of print styles. The blocks combine the expanded size of emails, security concerns over web bugs.

1) Email is used for easy communication at global level. Person in one country can easily interact with person in other country through it by sharing files, images etc.

2) Business organizations widely use it for email marketing. With the help of it, large numbers of customers can easily be informed about upcoming products of their brands.

3) Students can use it to send their project work to their teachers in digital form.

4) Messages can be sent between friends for further planned events such as a get together at a specific venue.

5) As a client, you can contact your merchant for your query, or you can ask for a specific service through it in easy and cost-effective way.

6) It is used by governments departments also to transfer their important files from one place to another electronically.

         In today's world, interacting through email has proved to be less time consuming as compared to the traditional method of sending mails via posts.
